The once-bulletproof Manhattan housing market suffered a minor setback during the fourth quarter of 2006, according to the latest figures from two of the leading New York City real estate brokers.

    I have noticed that Manhattan real estate follows the market trend for the rest of the country only Manhattan Real Estate lags slightly behind the nationwide curve. I have followed this lag through several up and down trends in the market. Manhattan RE is always a safe investment over time, but make sure you invest when the overall nationwide market is making a run on higher values and get in at the front end of a run.
